This species of narrow mouthed frog, Kaloula taprobanica was hopping merrily outside our house. The species was also quite common in Chennai, in our University Campus during the month of May and June and became rare gradually.
It is a burrowing frog and burrows into soft soil under rock debris posterior side first with the help of hind limbs.
