Common Kukri Snake (Oligodon arnensis)

A harmless or non-venemous snake, it frequently ventures into the human habitations in search of food and shelter. An agile climber it uses it's tail for holding its entire body weight while hanging upside down. It grows upto 60cms in length. The body color is brownish with black bars on its back and three black marks on its head. Diurnal. Feeds on reptile eggs, mice and other mammals. Young ones probably feeds on insects.
